I had a lovely weekend getaway at the Angus hotel, where the clean and spacious rooms and friendly staff made for a great experience. The evening meals were delightful and breakfast was quite good as well. However, I did notice some areas that could use improvement, such as the inconsistency in service and the need for updates within the hotel.
Rooms
8.0
The room was large and clean, although I wasn't overly impressed with the shower's water pressure.
Service
7.0
The staff, while friendly and approachable, appeared a bit overwhelmed at times and there seemed to be a lack of organization during meal service.
Location
9.0
The hotel is situated in a charming area of Blairgowrie, which is perfect for exploring local attractions and enjoying the lovely surroundings.
Dining
8.0
The evening meals were excellent and plentiful, while the breakfast offered a good variety, though there were some small portions at times.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities could use some maintenance as there were a few issues with cleanliness around the pool area, making it less than inviting.

I got a last-minute deal for my stay, and overall, it was a good value. The afternoon tea was a highlight, offering a delightful selection of tea, coffee, wine, and delicious treats. While the dinner felt like standard pub fare-my husband's burger was nice and my dish was just adequate-the staff were very nice and accommodating. The hotel itself is a bit tired but clean, with renovations reportedly in the pipeline, which is hopeful for future visits.
Rooms
7.0
The room I had was clean and spacious, though the heat was a bit much. I appreciated the decent-sized ensuite bathroom.
Service

I had a mixed experience during my visit. On one hand, the food was excellent and the bar staff was impressive even during busy times. However, I faced significant issues with my room assignment, which left a lot to be desired in terms of size and comfort. Also, a communication response from the hotel about the room mix-up was lacking, which added to my disappointment.
Rooms
5.0
The room I was assigned was much smaller than expected, hardly even a full-sized double, which made for an uncomfortable stay.
Service
6.0
While most of the staff, especially the bar staff, were fantastic, my experience with reception was less so, as they were too busy to address my room concerns.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was good; it was easy to access local spots and near amenities.
Dining
9.0
The food was fantastic with a nice variety for both dinner and breakfast, really one of the highlights of my stay.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were generally good, though there were some issues with room specifications.

6.0/10
My experience at the hotel was quite mixed. While the rooms were spacious and clean, and the receptionist offered a warm welcome, my family and I faced a significant issue during our visit. The dining experience was disappointing, and the service left much to be desired. Given the challenges we encountered, particularly with the front desk's response after our child's injury, I'm left feeling quite frustrated overall.
Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious and clean, which was a relief. However, they felt a bit dated and could definitely use some upgrades.
Service
5.0
I found the service to be lacking in crucial moments. Although the receptionist was friendly, it took far too long to get help when we needed it after the accident.
Location
6.0
The hotel is conveniently located, but the noise from outside made it challenging to enjoy a quiet stay, especially at night.
Dining
5.0
During our dining experience, the food was simply inedible, which really dampened the evening. I was shocked at the poor quality.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were decent; however, the pool area could use better maintenance to ensure the safety of all guests.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially the woman at reception who greeted us warmly, and the dining was delightful with great meal options. However, the significant issues were the unpleasant odors in our room and the overall cleanliness, which left a lot to be desired. While the pool area was relaxing, the stay was marred by not-so-great room conditions which made it less than ideal.
Rooms
5.0
Our room had a strong stale odor which lingered throughout our stay, making it uncomfortable. We also faced issues with cleanliness, including an unemptied bathroom bin from the previous guest.
Service
5.0
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, leaving a positive impression. However, service quality varied, with some staff appearing overworked and unfriendly at times.
